Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect what we need to answer your phone and book your jobs, and nothing else. We don't sell your information or your customers' information to anybody, for any reason. If you want to know what we hold on you, ask and we'll tell you.

What we collect

From you, as a customer of Forged Engine Ai:

• Name, business name, phone number, email address, and service area.
• The business information you give us so the agent can do its job — your services, prices, hours, and policies.
• Billing details, handled by our payment processor. We don't store card numbers.
• Basic website analytics: pages visited, roughly where you are, and what brought you here.

From the people who call or text a phone line we run for you:

• Their phone number, name, and anything they tell the agent in the course of getting their job booked.
• Call recordings and transcripts, and the full text of SMS conversations.
• Appointment details — date, time, address, vehicle or equipment, and the work requested.

Why we collect it

To run the service you're paying us for, and for nothing else. Concretely: to answer calls and texts, to book and confirm appointments, to send reminders and review requests, to bill you, and to review conversations that went badly so we can fix them.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your customers' conversations to train anything that would be used for another business.

Calls and text messages

Recording

Calls to a line we operate may be recorded and transcribed so we can keep the agent working properly. Where the law requires callers to be told, they're told at the start of the call. Recording rules vary by state and it's on us to get that right for your service area.

Text messages

People who text a line we operate are opting into messages about their appointment — confirmations, reminders, and follow-up. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We don't send marketing texts to anyone who hasn't asked for them, and we never share mobile opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.

Who else sees it

A short list of vendors that make the service work, each of which sees only what it needs to:

• Our telephony provider, for delivering calls and text messages.
• Our voice and language model providers, for understanding and answering.
• Our database and scheduling providers, for storing appointments and conversations.
• Our payment processor, for billing you.

We'll hand over information if we're legally required to. We'd tell you first unless we're not allowed to.

How long we keep it

Conversation records and recordings are kept for as long as you're a customer plus a reasonable window after, so you can go back and look at a job. Tell us to delete something and we will, unless we're required to keep it. If you leave, your data goes with you or gets deleted — your call.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state law. Email info@forgedengine.ai and you'll get a person, usually the same day.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with the providers we use. Access is limited to the people who need it, which right now is a very short list. We're a small operation and we don't pretend to hold certifications we don't have — if you need a formal security review before signing, ask and we'll walk you through exactly how it's set up.

Changes to this policy

If we change something that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell customers directly. We're not going to quietly rewrite this and hope nobody notices.
