You do about two hours of work. We do the rest.
Everybody selling AI to trade businesses says "easy setup." Here's ours, written down, with the parts you're actually on the hook for marked clearly — so you can decide before you talk to anybody.
Typical shop goes live in ten to fourteen days.
The whole process
Five steps. Two of them need you.
We talk
A real conversation, not a discovery call with a slide deck. What you do, what you charge, how the phone works now, and where your day actually goes. I'll ask what happens when you're on a job and the phone rings, because the answer to that is usually the whole problem.
If it's not a fit, I'll tell you on that call instead of sending you a proposal.
You hand over the boring stuff
Your services and prices, your hours, your service area, the four questions you get asked forty times a week, and what you want done with a call the agent can't handle. Send it however you've got it — a spreadsheet, a photo of the whiteboard, or just talk it through with me and I'll write it down.
If you've got a website with prices on it, we pull most of it from there and you just correct what's wrong.
We build it around your shop
Voice agent, text agent, calendar, confirmations, reminders, review requests — whatever you picked. It quotes your prices, keeps your hours, and talks the way you'd want somebody answering your phone to talk. We wire it into the calendar you already use.
This is the part everyone else hands you a login for. We do it.
You call it yourself and try to break it
Before a single customer ever hears it, you get the number and you go at it. Ask it something weird. Ask for a price you know it shouldn't quote. Book something and cancel it. Tell us what sounded off — too formal, too chatty, wrong word for a part — and we change it.
Nothing goes live until you say it sounds like your shop.
We point it at your phone
You keep your number. We forward calls to the agent — all of them, or only the ones you don't pick up, or only after hours. Your call. It can be undone in five minutes if you hate it, which almost nobody does but everybody wants to hear.
What we actually need from you
All of it, in one list. Nothing hidden.
- Twenty minutes on the phone to start.
- Your prices and services — however messy, we'll clean it up.
- Your hours and how you want after-hours handled.
- Access to forward your phone number, or your carrier login for ten minutes.
- Half an hour to test it and tell us what to change.
What you'll never have to do
Because this is the part that scares people off.
- Learn a dashboard, or log into anything.
- Write a script, or "train the AI."
- Change your phone number.
- Switch your calendar or your CRM.
- Explain any of it to your customers.
Going live is the easy day. Month seven is the hard one.
Software companies sell you the setup and disappear. Prices change, you add a service, a tech quits, the agent starts fumbling one particular question. Somebody has to notice and fix it. That's the whole job.
- We read the conversations. Not all of them — the ones that went sideways. That's where the fixes come from.
- Price change? Text me. It's live the same day. You're not filing a support ticket.
- You get a monthly rundown. Calls answered, jobs booked, what it couldn't handle and what we did about it.
- Seasonal changes are on us. Heading into your busy season, we tighten it up before the phone starts ringing, not after.
- If it breaks, we know before you do. The system watches itself and pages us, not you.
- One person, not a queue. You have my number. You'll never explain your business to a new rep.
Where it plugs in
The short version: on top of what you've got, not instead of it.
| What you use now | What changes |
|---|---|
| Your phone number | Nothing. We forward it. You keep it forever. |
| Your calendar | The agent books straight onto it. You look at the same calendar you always did. |
| Your voicemail | Mostly stops getting used, because people stop having to leave one. |
| Your CRM or job software | Stays. If it has a way in, we connect it. If it doesn't, you get the summary by text and email. |
| Your office person | Stops being interrupted forty times a day and gets to do the work that needs a human. |
Straight answers
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes, and you should. We never take ownership of your number. Calls forward to the agent and you can turn that off yourself in about five minutes if you ever want to.
What happens when it can't answer something?
It stops trying. It tells the customer a real person will get back to them, takes down what they need, and texts you immediately with the details. It doesn't guess at prices, argue, or make promises about work you don't do.
Do I have to let it answer everything?
No. Common setups: after hours only, overflow only (it picks up when you don't after four rings), or everything. Most shops start with overflow and after-hours, then move to everything once they trust it.
Is this going to replace my office person?
Not unless you want it to, and that's not what it's good at. What it's good at is the forty interruptions a day that stop her from doing anything that requires two consecutive thoughts. Shops that keep their office person and add this get more out of both.
How long until it's live?
Ten to fourteen days for a normal shop. Faster if you've got your prices and services written down already. Slower if you want a lot of custom back-office automation on day one — and we'd usually rather start smaller and add it once the phone part is proving itself.
What if I hate it?
Turn off the forwarding and you're back to exactly where you were, same day. There's no long contract to argue about. If it isn't making you money, we'd rather find that out fast than take your money for a year.
